With rising energy prices, the cost of living in our homes is going up. As a New York state homeowner you can take advantage of a program called Home Performance with ENERGY STAR that is designed to help make energy conservation affordable for everyone.
Crossfield Heating and Air Conditioning is a certified participant in this program which can help you save up to 40% in rising energy costs. We will perform a Comprehensive Home Assessment which has an emphasis on health and safety issues and consists of two phases.
Phase one consists of us taking an inventory of, and reporting on, the current conditions of your home including:
- Health and safety (Carbon Monoxide levels / Moisture problems)
- Air infiltration rates
- Insulation levels
- Domestic hot water system
- Heating and air conditioning system efficiency
- Distribution system (ductwork)
- Lighting
- Major appliances
Phase two consists of us developing a work scope for the proposed improvements, including an itemized cost breakdown and an energy savings estimate. Any of the recommended improvements you choose are eligible for the ENERGY STAR incentive options. These options include:
- Low interest financing up to $20,000
- Low interest financing and a work scope incentive of up to $5000 for qualified homeowners
- Ten percent cash incentive paid directly to the homeowner up to $3000
